C&A-13.jpg
Beautiful Brides to be

Wedding days are one of the most memorable and special days of a couple's life. With this being said I not only want my brides to look their best on their wedding day but to feel their best as well!  This is why planning your bridal make-up and hair look for your wedding day is essential!

I believe wedding make-up and hair should naturally enhance your best features, making you look and feel like the best version of yourself.

Regardless of the look you go for, your professional wedding make-up and hair will last from the moment it’s applied until the very last dance.

Your Bridal Trial

The bridal make-up and hair trial is key to planning your look for your wedding day. At the trial we will work together to create your perfect make-up and hair look to suit you for your special day.  It’s great if you can think about some make-up and hair ideas before the trial so I can gauge your likes and dislikes and we can make the most of our time at the trial.  Follow me on Instagram & Pinterest to find your make-up & hair inspiration for your trial!

At the trial we will discuss your inspiration photos and take into consideration your personal style, features, wedding dress and wedding colour scheme to perfect your make-up and hair look.

Trials usually take place Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm. You are welcome to come to my home studio in Fleet, Hampshire or alternatively I can travel to you.

I would suggest having your trial 3-4 months prior to your wedding date and trials usally take from between 2-3 hours to complete.

*I will travel the first 20 miles total at no additional cost. Additional miles are charged at £0.48p per mile.

FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book my bridal make-up and hair?

It’s never too early to start thinking about your bridal make-up and hair. I usually start taking bookings between 1-2 years in advance. Please do get in touch regardless of how near or far your wedding day is.

Do I need to have a bridal make-up and hair trial?

Yes, trials are mandatory and essential for planning your look for your wedding day. The trial gives you a chance to meet me, where we will work together to create your perfect make-up and hair look to suit you for your special day.

At the trial we will take into consideration your personal style, features, wedding dress and colour schemes to perfect your bridal look.

We will organise the timings for the morning of your wedding and discuss your bridal party's make-up and hair look if they have decided against a trial. To ensure everything stays calm and runs as smoothly as possible, I will organise a schedule for the morning of your wedding. This is so everyone has their own time slot and knows when and where they need to be at what time.

When do I have my make-up and hair trial?

I would recommend having the bridal make-up and hair trial at least 3-4 months before your wedding day. If your wedding is less than 3 months away at the time of booking, we will work to fit your trial in as soon as we can.

Where does my make-up and hair trial take place?

Trials usually take place Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm. You are welcome to come to my home studio in Fleet, Hampshire or alternatively I can travel to you. If a weekend appointment is more suitable we can work around this.

How long does the make-up and hair trial take?

Bridal make-up and hair trials usually take between 2-3 hours.

Do I need anything for my make-up and hair trial?

Getting some inspiration photos together for your make-up and hair is very useful as I will then be able to gauge the type of look you are after. Feel free to send me your inspiration pictures or Pinterest boards, I would love to see them.

It would also be helpful if you had any hair accessories or products you were planning on wearing on your wedding day to hand.

For the trial, when is best to wash my hair and should I wear make- up?

I would suggest washing your hair the night before the trial however, if you would prefer to wash it on the morning please do so. Just try to avoid using any leave in conditioners or straightening your hair. At the trial please have dry hair and a make-up free face, although please feel free to apply your skincare as usual.

I am not sure on the bridal make-up and hair look I am after, will you be able to help?

Of course, this is what the bridal make-up and hair trial is for. Even if you are unsure on the look you are after or have too many looks in mind I would still suggest collecting some images or creating a Pinterest board of the type of hair and make-up looks you like or even don’t like so much. This way I can gauge your style, likes and dislikes and we can create a beautiful make-up and hair look.

How long will the make-up and hair take on the wedding day?

This will all depend on the look you are after but I usually I allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for make-up and 45 minutes to 1 hour for hair. At the trial we will discuss timings and if you have a large bridal party, I will create a schedule for the morning of your wedding.

What products do you have in your kit?

Products I use in my kit include, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Bobbi Brown, MAC,Urban Decay, Glossier, Loreal and Schwarzkopf.

How far will you travel for a booking?

I am based in Fleet, Hampshire, however, I am more than happy to travel for your booking. I cover Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London too. *I will travel the first 20 miles total at no additional cost. Additional miles are charged at £0.48p per mile.

KIND WORDS

Kate, Oakley Hall Hotel

Alice is an incredibly talented make-up and hair artist. During the trial she works really hard to listen to what you want and execute that. On the day, she and a team of 2 other assistants that she brought with her completed 7 people’s hair and make-up and every single person looked amazing. I didn’t have a preference for how I wanted bridesmaids make up to be done, I just said to do what suited them and that was carried out beautifully. They had quite intricate milk-maid style braids which turned out better than I could have hoped for. My mother and mother in law’s hair and make-up was beautiful too and the artists did a great job working around some rather large hats! I was very nervous all morning but as soon as Alice had finished, and I looked in the mirror I immediately felt at ease – I felt amazing! Alice and her team did an incredible job and I am so thankful to her!

Lizzie, Caswell House

Alice did two trials with me due to Covid delaying my wedding for so long, and she was super friendly and accommodating to all my ideas.

On the day, she had two assistants with her, to do 6 people's hair and make-up. I had braids and curls in my hair, and they stayed in all day (usually curls only hold a couple of hours in my straight hair!) plus make-up was very natural looking, as requested.

My mum, who never wears make-up and was particularly nervous about it, was really pleased with her 'light' application of make-up, and was very much reassured by the artist that worked with her.

Alice and her team worked very well to a tight schedule, to have everyone ready in time. Everyone looked amazing!!!
