Who I am
Alice Porter Make-up & Hair is run by Alice Porter, who is responsible for your personal information. You can contact me at hello@aliceportermakeupandhair.com or on 07584 424255. - Contact and booking details: your name, address, phone number, email, wedding or event date and location, and other details needed for your booking.
- Communications: messages you send me through my website, email, text or social media.
- Health information: any allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions you tell me about, so I can provide my services safely.
- Photos and reviews: photos taken at your trial or booking, and any reviews you leave.
- Website data: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use my website, collected through cookies and website analytics.
How I use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and keep records of our communication (legitimate interests).
- To provide the services you book and keep financial records (to carry out our contract, and to meet my legal and tax obligations).
- To keep you safe during your services, using any health information you give me (with your consent).
- To show examples of my work on my website and social media, unless you tell me in writing that you do not want your photos used (legitimate interests).
- To run and improve my website (legitimate interests).
Who I share your information with
I only share your information where it is needed to run my business or provide your services:
- Additional artists working on your booking, including any allergy or product sensitivity information they need to carry out your services safely.
- Services that help me run my business, such as website hosting (Wix), email and cloud storage (Google Workspace and Microsoft OneDrive), and accounting software.
- AI applications, which I sometimes use to help run my business, such as preparing invoices, schedules and accounts. Only the information needed for each task is shared.
- Professional advisers, such as my accountant, and government bodies such as HMRC where required by law.
I will never sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of the services I use may store or process your information outside the UK.
How long I keep your information
I keep booking and financial records for six years after your booking, as required for tax purposes. Other information is deleted once it is no longer needed.

Your information is stored securely and password protected.
